Our Vision and Approach
The internet has revolutionised many of our lives but not everyone has the same digital experience. At the Digital Impact Awareness Initiative (DIAI), we believe everyone deserves the same rights online as they do offline. This principle, gaining traction globally, is crucial for a just and inclusive digital future.
Our Mission: Fostering Responsible Technology
The DIAI works to translate this vision into reality by examining the impact of emerging digital technologies on individuals, communities, and society. We analyze these technologies from a policy perspective, focusing on:
Inclusive Solutions for a Human-Centered Digital World
The DIAI takes a human-centered approach, partnering with those directly impacted by these issues. We believe in the principle of "Nothing about us without us" – that solutions are most effective when those affected have a direct say in their development. This takes into account how digital technologies are managed and governed, not just how they are designed and developed.
Staying Ahead of the Curve
The DIAI informs policymaking to ensure these principles are embedded in the future of technology.

Working Papers
The Working Papers outline the scope of the DIAI’s activities. They serve as a broad overview of the key subjects we address, guiding the future work of the DIAI rather than delving deeply into each topic.
Election interference isn't a new phenomenon, but the rise of digital technologies has brought this issue to the forefront of public consciousness. Our inaugural Working Paper explores the complicated landscape of foreign election interference, offering an overview of past and emerging threats.
